Dr. Nadia Luna, DNP

Dr. Nadia Luna is a board-certified psychiatric nurse practitioner who earned her post graduate PMHNP certificate from Vanderbilt University in 2021. She completed her bachelor's degree at the University of Southern California in 2003, her master's degree in nursing administration from Purdue Global in 2014 and her doctor of nursing practice (DNP) from Duke University in 2016. Dr. Luna's specialties include mental health, emergency nursing, and nursing education. Her background includes emergency department nursing and management of acute mental health crises. Dr. Luna is also a nursing professor and has worked in a variety of BSN, MSN and DNP programs. Dr. Luna was also involved in the development of new graduate orientation programs for local hospitals in the community. Her diverse background and contributions to the nursing profession earned her the Nevada Nurses Foundation 2018 Shining Stars of Nursing in Nevada 50 under 50 award.

In her free time, Dr. Luna enjoys yoga, writing, spending time with her family and hiking. She is a strong advocate for mental health and believes in multimodal approaches to treating mental health conditions, including medication management, modifiable lifestyle changes, and psychotherapy (not offered in office). Dr. Luna is Hispanic and fluent in Spanish.
